SN secretary, José Luis Villaran said that this decision was taken because they are "convinced that it is the moment for joining efforts to assure the govern ability in the country". During the press conference, Villarán informed that almost all members of SN party agreed to this renovation of the alliance. He also explained that in exchange for this alliance, Solidaridad Nacional will request Lourdes Flores and her party to include a number of SN members to the list of candidates to work in the Congress.
