3 tons of toys seized in Callao

Around 3 tons of containers full of toys, all of original brands were yesterday seized in the harbour of Callao. The owner had declared the containers as carrying used machinery and had “forgotten” about toys.
According to SUNAT, the toys originated from Miami and is part of a BIG Christmas campaign is some of the big stores of Lima.

The container, belonging to Inka Negocios EIRL, whose representatives declared this shipment as “second hand machineries and equipment”, did so to avoid the customs control. Nevertheless, when SUNAT noticed some irregularities, they opened the containers to verify the content.

Some kids will be sad for Christmas as some the products seized are Barbie dolls, electrical personages of the Star Wars series, Fisher Price and Toy History dolls and electrical automobiles for children.
