Peru’s consulate in Atlanta will send staff to Nashville this month to offer passports, birth, marriage and death certificates to Nashville’s Peruvian population and gain an understanding of their needs and concerns.
Consulate staff will be available to Peruvian citizens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 18 at the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 530 Third Ave. S.
The chamber is hosting the event to help Peruvian nationals who live in the Nashville area obtain and maintain the identification needed to interact with local businesses and government.
Consulate officials also use mobile consulate events to identify situations in which the Peruvian government might need to intervene on behalf of citizens living in the United States
The Hispanic Chamber hopes to host this event at least twice a year, according to a statement released by the organization.
