Hundreds of national apparel, jewelry, footwear and accessory companies participating in Peru Moda 2009 and Peru Gift Show would close deals worth more than 75 million dollars, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Mercedes Araoz announced today.
"This year we hope to close deals more or less in the same level as last year, that is, about 73 million dollars with Peru Moda and 5 additional million with Peru Gift Show," she said.
Araoz said both international fairs will be conducted together for the first time from April 22 to 24 at the Army Headquarters in the Limean district of San Borja.
Araoz noted that Peru Moda is the main event of the Peruvian fashion industry, considered as one of the most important events in Latin America, showing the best of the Peruvian export offer in apparel, footwear, accessories and jewelry, plus an area of services that includes machinery, trims, amongst others.
