According to the Peru Service of of Meteorology (Senamhi), fog will make its first appearances of the year in Lima sometime this week, especially during early mornings.
Raquel Loayza, a Senamhi expert, warns the drivers to be extremely careful, since traffic is usually heavy at those hours and thick fog could cause severe accidents.
In addition, experienced drivers suggest to use special fog lights
Loayza says that this fog is more likely to be seen in areas near to the beaches, and is expected to be gone by noons.
Furthermore, the minimum temperatures for this week will drop to 17 °C (62.6°F), especially in the eastern districts of Lima.
