The Mexican, Sal y Rosas, who is facing trial due to his connections with the Tijuana drug cartel, presented an habeas corpus like Miguel Morales, which allows him house arrest, as he hasn’t been sentenced within 36 month after arrested.
Sal y Rosas followed the footsteps of Miguel Morales, who a few days ago presented an “habeas corpus” and was released from jail and moved to house arrest till he is sentenced. Sal y Rosas wasn’t as lucky as judge Cecilia Pollack this time denied the drug dealer petition.
Another seven members of the transnational Tijuana Cartel are being trialed in Peru and during the next days the judge will give a sentence to them. There are two options: keep them in jail or allow them house arrest like Miguel Morales.
