Peru’s politicians pay homage to Lima’s former mayor Alberto Andrade

Peru’s Congressmen from all the politic parties paid this afternoon a posthumous homage to Alberto Andre, Former Mayor of Lima.

Andrade’s funeral procession went from Lima’s Municipality, toured the Main Square and passed in front of the Government’s Palace, accompanied by a band of musicians as well.

Peru’s President, Alan García Pérez, and Peru’s Ministers of Justice (Rosario Fernández), of Labour (Jorge Villasante) and Transports (Enrique Cornejo) walked along with the funeral procession.

Earlier today, more politicians and local creole artists had homaged Alberto Andrade’s memory at the Lima Municipality.

Former Mayor Andrade passed away last Friday at age 65, due to pulmonary fibrosis complications, at a hospital in Washington.
