Peru: Amazonian Countries to meet in Iquitos

The Directorate for Foreign Trade, Tourism and Handicraft (Dircetura) will hold the 4th Meeting of the Technical Tourism Committee of the Member Countries of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO).

This will begin tomorrow, from July 8th to 10th, as a workshop in Iquitos, in order to establish an Amazonian tourism development agenda for the next five years.

The idea is reaching a consensus on the main strategic to promote the region as a tourism destination, while safeguarding the environment.  

The event will be attended by representatives of the Tourism Ministries of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
