Peru and Switzerland will sign cooperation agreements to tackle climate change and promote the environmentally sound management of electrical and electronic waste.
For this purpose, Peruvian Environment Minister Antonio Brack Egg will travel to this European country from August 18th to 22nd.
During his stay in Switzerland, Minister Brack will sign a bilateral cooperation agreement on environmental issues relating to the Program on Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC).
The Peruvian minister will also sign another agreement on a corporate social responsibility project for electronic waste management and participate in the Annual Conference of the Swiss Development Cooperation to discuss climate change and development.
Minister for Foreign Trade and Tourism, Martin Perez Monteverde, will be the acting Environment Minister during Brack’s absence.
