Officially registering a Micro or Small Enterprise (MSE) in Peru could cost less than S/.300 soles (approx. US $100) due to the considerable cost reductions that the Law for Formalization of Promotion for MSE’s will bring, said Peru’s Production Minister Mercedes Araoz.

“MSE’s will be registered in less than 72 hours in Lima, but we are working with the other municipalities, in order to reduce and simplify all the paperwork,” she said.

Araoz also remarked that one of the goals of this law is allowing the micro or small entrepreuners and workers access to the National Social Security System through the Integral System of Health.
