Noche de Arte, the annual art show and sale put on by the United States Embassy Association, held a glamorous pre-inauguration cocktail last night at the site of the event in San Isidro. Tonight, they open for their 43rd edition.
The event has been hosted annually since 1961, and brings together artists, art lovers, and do-gooders for a good cause. A hefty portion of the proceeds from every artwork purchased at the event will be donated to a number of different charitable organizations that work to help women, children, and senior citizens in Peru. Not only do attendees get a chance to support a worthy cause, but they also get to enjoy some of the best contemporary artwork that Perú has to offer.
Ths year’s event, “Noche de Arte 2013: Seamos Artistas de un Mundo Mejor” (Noche de Arte: Let’s be Artists for a Better World) is no different. The spacious gallery at the Sede Principal de BBVA in San Isidro is packed with paintings, photographs, and sculpture that absolutely wowed attendees at last night’s pre-inauguration event. Everything from wire sculptures to striking still life paintings to modernist collages was on display. There’s something for everyone at Noche de Arte.
Last week, we launched a reader contest to win tickets to Noche de Arte. *Today is winners’ last chance to pick up their prizes– if you haven’t already done so, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to collet your tickets*.
