Beer, music, and dancing are universal forms of celebration, and are standard at Oktoberfest whether that be in Lima Munich, or any of the other numerous cities that host this event.
First held in 2002, Peru´s Oktoberfest takes from the German funfair that traditionally lasts 16-days. Unfortunately in Lima, the event is only four days, but from October 16 – 19 you can pack a (perhaps, elongated) weekend full of activity.
And, as the elections will have passed, what better way to celebrate a sober weekend then with an event like Oktoberfest?
The 2014 edition keeps tradition as the folk band ZUGSPITZMUSIK brings musical entertainment. While you listen to traditional German sounds, chow down on classic fare such as sausages, sauerkraut and, of course, beer .
Thursday night (8 p.m.) kicks off the inauguration of the event, held at the Explanada Sur del Estadio Monumental in Ate, similar to past years.
