Pelo Madueño to celebrate 20 years of composing with a concert


Peruvian rock star Pelo Madueño will be celebrating 20 years of composing with a concert this weekend at the Gran Teatro Nacional in a special show called, “20 años al borde,” (20 years on the edge).

The Peruvian entertainer is preparing a break from his past career and is moving on to something new and different.

“It will be the first of many things. And what comes next will also be something different, the difference will be noticeable,” said Madueño. Though, his projects have been kept under wraps, Peruvians have high expectations for the renowned singer-songwriter.

On Saturday night he will also be recognized for the strong fight he’s led against child proverty, reports “Andina”: news agency. He has worked to improve the quality of life of children in poverty with the organization, Ayuda en Acción.

Regarding the concert the artist told “El Comercio”:, “I feel that to put on a show, as never before done, I close this stage with a flourish. It will be something special, I will accompany a large band of a large format. I will take a selection of songs I’ve done for presentation at the National Theatre.”
