Peru achieved a new Guinness Record by preparing the world's largest artichoke salad on September 15.
This day, more than 200 people participated in the preparation of a salad that contained more than 1,500 of artichoke, as well as carrots, olives, peppers and vinaigrette sauce.
This is how, according to CNN, the country managed to achieve a Guinness World Record for the largest artichoke salad ever made.
In total, this dish weight 784.53 kilos and occupied a 5-meter-long tray. It was then distributed to the public who attended this event, which took place in the Plaza de Armas of the city of Trujillo.
“The purpose of this Guinness Record was to promote the consumption of artichoke in Peru, organizers said”, you can read in CNN’s article.
