Antauro Humala, brother of President Ollanta Humala, has filed suit against Prime Minister Juan Jimenez, and accused him of torture, kidnapping, abuse of power, disobedience and resisting arrest, and criminal conspiracy.

Humala presented his claims, in writing, to the attorney general’s office, citing alleged irregularities committed during his transfer the Virgen de la Merced prison, to the Naval Base prison, Peru21 reported.

In his 24-page document, Humala also heavily criticizes First Lady Nadine Heredia, whom he accuses of being responsible his prison transfer.

"So I would not be heard by the public, my sister in law – who was threatened by my statements, in an effort to win the presidency in 2016 – ordered minister Jimenez to see to it that I was locked up in a place where I could not talk,” Antauro wrote.

He adds that his brother, President Humala, has “defrauded, deceived, and betrayed” the country, ever since he became president.

“[Nadine] took advantage of the situation since 2005, and has meddled in the political life of the Humala family, and my brother’s lack of character.”

“She orders him at her will, to the point of running for president, stealing the Humala family’s fame and political effort,” he added.
