According to Peru21, the group’s leader is currently in custody, and is being charged with destruction of public property, and defending terrorism, stemming from a national protest Conare-Sutep organized in 2012.

>Last year Condori lead close to 5,000 teachers to the Peruvian capital, as part of >wage disputes between the government and the teachers union.

The group surrounded the offices of the Ministry of Education, and refused to allow government workers to leave the premises. The protestors were eventually cleared from the area by police.
