Peru police seize drug making chemicals, and coca leaf supply in Huanuco

Peruvian anti-drug agents seized drug making chemicals and over 3 tones of coca leave in Monzón, in the province of Huamalíes, Huánuco.

Police, local radio RPP said, found drug making chemicals and supplies, including 620 kilograms of sulfuric acid, 720 kilograms of kerosene, 600 kilograms of formic acid, 100 kilograms of calcium oxide, and 10 kilograms of baking soda.

The supplies and coca leaf load belonged to alleged drug traffickers known as ‘Soltero’, ‘Grandazo’, and ‘Picuro’, RPP said.

The supplies had been concealed inside a ‘rustic building’ which was being used as a coca leaf deposit, and which supplied several cocaine maceration pits around Monzón Valley.
