Peru President Humala denies argument with First Lady

On Wednesday President Ollanta Humala denied rumors that he had an argument with First Lady Nadine Heredia during a reception ceremony for the 3rd Summit of South America – Arab Countries (ASPA), in Lima.

When asked about the argument, Humala denied there had been any tension between him and Heredia.

“Impasse? What impasse?,” Humala said. “It was absolutely normal, there was none of that.”

“But, thanks for caring about us,” the president added, according to El Comercio.

However, unnamed sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told local paper Peru21, there had been argument between the first couple, after Heredia arrived late for the ASPA ceremony.
