Peru to face Paraguay in key World Cup qualifier

Peru’s national soccer team will face Paraguay on Tuesday afternoon, as part of qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The match will be played at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium in Asunción.

A win on Tuesday could provide much needed points for the red-and-white team, who are currently 7th on the regional standings, with 8 points.

According to local radio RPP, Peru’s starting line-up is rumored to include: Raúl Fernández, Luis Advíncula, Carlos Zambrano, Alberto Rodríguez, Yoshimar Yotún, Rinaldo Cruzado, Luis Ramírez, Juan Vargas, Jefferson Farfán, Claudio Pizarro, and Paolo Guerrero.

Peru comes off a win against Venezuela (2-1), and two ties with Argentina (1-1) and Bolivia (1-1).

The match will be broadcast live on ATV and CMD, at 5:00pm local time.
