Peru’s President Humala to meet with President Obama in June

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala will travel to the United States to meet with President Barrack Obama, Peru21 reported.

According to the daily, Obama invited Humala to travel to the U.S, in order to strengthen relations between both countries, and increase cooperation in science, technology, education, environmental protection, and immigration.

The visit will take place between June 10 and 12, and will be the first official meeting between both leaders.

Humala and Obama had previously held talks on the sidelines of APEC Summit in Hawaii in 2012 and during Humala’s July 2011 informal visit to the White House, as president-elect.
