María Laura Vélez and Martin Molina, a pair of puppeteers that make up the Tárbol Association, Puppet Theater have been fulfilling one of their largest dreams: representing Peru in the World Puppet Theater Festival that takes place from September 20 to 29 in the city of Charleville, located in eastern France.
These two expert puppet artists presented one of their award-winning works, “Churi, son of the river” to be presented within the festival’s OFF programming and that takes place in different squares of the city, according to information from Andina News Agency. “An ideal format to promote the direct approach of theater companies with the public”, they wrote.
During their first presentation, the puppeteers captured the attention of a curious audience to learn about the proposal from Peru.
