Santa Claus surprised children in Chanchamayo, Peru after landing at the Peruvian Air Force Base in San Ramon with gifts, chocolates, and a Christmas show. Nearly 500 children were present and took pictures with the red and white suited Santa. Panettone and hot chocolate were passed to every child and enjoyed with a Christmas show. The peaceful district of San Ramon in Chanchamayo has been interrupted by drug trafficking and violence for years. It was a treat for the children invited from rural areas surrounding the district to meet Santa Claus and join in the holiday festivities. Mirko Báscones Arroyo, Commander of the Air Base of San Ramon, gave appreciation and expressed his gratitude for the participation of some companies and people supporting the cause of bringing people together for Christmas. The children were surprised at the sight of the jolly and snow-white-bearded bearer of gifts.
