Scandinavian-Peruvian designs take the runway at Lima Fashion Week

Made with Love in Peru” is read on the label of the exclusive designs of Eudaimonia Copenhagen. This is one of five Scandinavian brands that manufacture their collections in Lima, Huancayo, Puno and Arequipa. The designs are not only unique and handmade by talented Peruvians, but they are also a great example of high-end export supply; all that hard work is later showcased in the main cities of Denmark and Asia.

All of the young designers are backed by Together with Eudaimonia Copenhagen, two other Danish designers, Stine Ladegoged and Yasmin Zafar, also decided to work with Peruvian weavers and deliver “The Scandinavian Show” at Lima Fashion Week.  It was one of the most highly-anticipated runways and there’s no doubt that they delivered a show that measured up to expectations.  A neutral color palette was used to highlight the incredible richness of textures and a minimalist, very usable

Ayni Design Lab, the Danish-Peruvian company that brought them to Perú to discover a whole world of upscale textile made by macramé, croché and traditional knitting techniques.  As cooperation with PromPeru, employees of Ayni function as sourcing agents and brokers for foreign design companies who already produce or wishes to move their production to Peru. They are specialized in jersey and knitwear production in natural high-quality materials such as alpaca, cotton, silk and bamboo, as well as blends. The group has exhibited its clothing in several fairs in Paris and Denmark and has received very favorable reception.
