This was a good year for Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine as Maido and Osaka Cocina Nikkei took the top 2 spots.
The 8th Edition of the Summum Awards once again ranked the best restaurants in Peru and announced the winners Monday night. The results are based on an Ipsos Peru survey and restaurants were given prizes in 22 different categories.
In the overall ranking, 2 Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurants took the top prizes: Maido (1st) and Osaka Cocina Nikkei (2nd).
The culinary categories for which prizes were given include Best Chifa, Best Italian-Peruvian Restaurant, Best New Restaurant, and Best Restaurant with Pisco Cocktails.
