The President of Peru, Martín Vizcarra, said that the country plans to sell 800,000 tickets for the next Pan American and Parapan Am Games Lima 2019.
“The tickets that have been put up for sale for the inauguration have already been sold out, it is estimated that 800,000 tickets will be sold in total, of which 100,00 have already been acquired,” the President said during an inspection of the completed works of the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Complex, according to Sputnik News.
This sports complex is the largest of those built especially for this sports event. It is located in the peripheral Lima district of Villa María del Triunfo. It houses hockey, rugby, baseball and softball stadiums, and other sports.
“According to the organization of the Lima 2019 Games, the event will involve a movement in the Peruvian economy of about $1.5 billion dollars”, Sputnik News wrote. The games will take place between July 26 and August 11.
Athletes from 41 countries across the continent will participate in 39 disciplines, some of which will be qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
