The Sao Paulo Carnival, one of the biggest festivals in the world and one of the most important in Brazil, will feature a presentation inspired by Peru. The school of samba Unidos de Vila Maria will show a theme centered on the sun and the importance that the star has in the Peruvian-Brazilian relationship.
“We want to show that there is a relationship between Brazil and Peru, which is linked to the sun,” said Cristiano Bara, a member of the school, according to information from El Comercio.
The intention of this staging is to tell the story of Peru. Their stage represents a boat on Lake Titicaca and their story speaks of a panoramic flight on the wings of a condor.
Gisele Santa de Azevedo, member of the school emphasized that everyone is aligned to represent Peru in the parade as best as possible.
The Carnival of Sao Paulo will be held from March 1 to 5, 2019.
