There have been many different simulations looking to predict what teams will be in the same group Peru.

However, which countries are statistically more likely to face Peru in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup?

A mathematical study, published by the website”Goal”, determined the most likely matches to take place.

Generally speaking, the matches that are most likely to occur are the following: Iran-Nigeria (29.6%), Iran-Morocco (29.4%) and Serbia-Mexico (26.4%). Regarding Peru, the statistical table shows that Gareca’s team is more likely to face European teams such as Denmark (17%), Iceland (17.6%) and Sweden (17.5%).  The countries with less chance of facing Peru are Tunisia (9.2%), Egypt (9.3%) and Senegal (9.2%).
