We break down the estimated cost by economy tour and luxury tour to cater to the needs of travelers who want it cheap and for those who want their Machu Picchu travel to be a little more luxurious.

The Machu Picchu Travel Cost Breakdown

For this cost breakdown, we’re assuming the following journey to Machu Picchu:

Day 1: Arrive at the Lima airport and spend your first night in Lima.

Day 2: Fly to Cusco and spend the night in Cusco.

Day 3: Travel from Cusco to Aguas Calientes and spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 4: Visit Machu Picchu and return to Aguas Calientes. Spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5: Return to Cusco and spend the night in Cusco.

Day 6: Fly back to Lima.
