At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco. If you want to visit Cusco’s top rated restaurants for dinner, we can help you with reservations!

DAY 8: GUAYAQUIL CITY TOUR

You will begin your tour of Guayaquil after breakfast, starting with Las Peñas: the city’s oldest district.

Once you’ve navigated its colorful streets, you’ll be taken to the summit of Cerro Santa Ana for panoramic vistas of the city.

After lunch, you will visit Iguana Park, the modern Malecon 2000, botanical gardens, and the Parque Historico, an ideal site for ecological and archaeological tourism.

A private transportation service will take you back to your hotel.

DAY 9: BLACK TURTLE COVE, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND

Your guide will pick you up in a private transportation to take you to the airport for your flight to Galapagos.

Once you arrive at the Baltra airport, you will be taken to the luxury catamaran where you will be welcomed with ha drink and lunch onboard.

Your first visit will be to Black Turtle Cove, a bay situated in the northern region of Santa Cruz island. The cove is surrounded by mangroves and is accessible only by dinghy. The area is a safe refuge for marine life such as black-tip reef sharks, marine turtles, and a variety of rays.

After your explorations, you will return to the catamaran and will have dinner onboard.

DAY 10: DARWIN BAY & BARRANCO, GENOVESA ISLAND

You will explore Genovesa Island, starting with a wet landing in the coral beach of Darwin Bay. You can take short walks for magnificent photo ops, swim in the bay or do snorkeling. Near the bay is a mangrove swamp where you will find a colony of frigates, marine iguanas, red-footed boobies and mask boobies, the great terrestrial finch, seagulls, herons, and cactus finch. Head back to the catamaran for lunch and refreshments.

After lunch, you will dry land in Barranco. Hike around Prince Phillip’s stairs, followed by a walk on the Barranco path. You will observe tropical birds, petrels, common frigate, red-foot boobies, mask boobies, doves, and finches. Dinner will be onboard the catamaran.

DAY 11: SULLIVAN BAY, SANTIAGO ISLAND & BARTOLOME ISLAND

Begin the day with a wet landing in Sullivan Bay of Santiago Island. Much of the island is covered with uneroded lava flows. You will be able to see lava pahoehoe (basaltic lava that has a smooth, billowy, undulating or ropy surface), hornitos, and mollugo (a lava colonizer). Refreshments and lunch will be served back in the catamaran.

After lunch, discover Bartolome Island. You will take a walk along the path to the top of a formation (114m) where you will see pioneering plants such as tiquilia, chamaesyce, and scalesia. The island has been formed by cones, lava pipes where lava once flowed.

Then, you will do a wet landing on the beach to visit the mangrove swamps and sand dune vegetation. Head back up to the north beach where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. From the top of Bartolome Island you can also see the islands of Santiago, Rabida, and Isabela. Finish the tour by seeing penguins in the Rock Pinnacle.

Dinner will be served on the catamaran.

DAY 12: DRAGON HILL, SANTA CRUZ ISLAND & CHINESE HAT, SANTIAGO ISLAND & MOSQUERA ISLAND

Today, discover Chinese Hat, a small islet located near the south-east coast of Santiago. The islet is shaped like a Chinese hat when seen from afar. The area consists of a cone type “splatter” (lava ejected as drops which fall close to where they came from, which form an inclined cone) that forms the summit and many lava tubes that go down to the coast.

On the west side, you can see pillow-type lava formations, which are an indicator that the flows were formed under the sea and have been raised upward, which is why coral heads are found on the lava. The trail is 700m (round trip) and will take approximately 30 minutes. Head back to the catamaran for lunch.

After lunch visit the Mosquera islet, located between Baltra Island and North Seymour. The islet has the biggest sea lion colony and several species of birds.

You will then return to the catamaran for dinner.

DAY 13: CHARLES DARWIN STATION, SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS & GUAYAQUIL

After breakfast aboard the catamaran, we will visit the Charles Darwin Station which is located in the main port of Santa Cruz Island. In the breeding center you will see tortoises and land iguanas in captivity. Thanks to the dedicated work of several institutions, some endangered species are being saved. This was the home of Lonesome George, the famous last survivor of the giant tortoise species found on Pinta Island.

You will be transferred in a private service to the Baltra airport for your flight back to Guayaquil. A guide will be waiting to take you to the 5-star Sheraton Hotel.

DAY 14 : GUAYAQUIL INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport where a guide will help you with your international departure.
