Life Expectancy in Peru is of 75 Years

According to the report “Estadística Poblacional 2018” done by Ipsos, Peru has surpassed 32 million inhabitants, with an average life expectancy of 75 years, wrote Peru 21.

The exact estimated number is of 32 millions 162 thousand 184 Peruvians, and 52.1% of them are between 21 and 59 years old. The growth rate is about 1.01% annually.
This information is validated with every district in Peru, as well as with every large city, and also with the Lima metropolitan area, where 32.2% of the people in the country make a living.

Also, Peru 21 reports that 78.2% of the country’s inhabitants live in urban areas. In the case of the capital city, one out of every four Peruvians lives on the northern side of Lima.

“Metropolitan Lima represents approximately 41.2% of urban Peru”, the statistics show, along with another interesting fact: The San Juan de Lurigancho district only holds a million inhabitants approximately.
Also, the report also mentions that the use of landline phones has diminished (it is now only 26.3%), compared to previous years, while the Internet usage has risen up to 29% compared to 2016.
