Backus AB InBev launched the limited edition Cusqueña Märzen with the purpose of celebrating the Oktoberfest Peru this month.
“The origin of this type of beer called Märzenbier, dates back 500 years to the south of Germany, in the region of Bavaria”, said El Comercio. They add that the name Märzen means March in German and it’s due to its final production date, to be consumed during the European autumn.
This drink became an icon, as it was offered at the wedding of King Luis I of Bavaria, on October 12, 1810, the date on which the Oktoberfest was born and which arrived in Peru in 2002.
“We started the Cusqueña Oktoberfest beer season with #UnaRazónMás to celebrate, paying tribute to our consumers with Cusqueña Märzen, a limited edition with carefully selected ingredients that perfectly complements the four varieties of Cusqueña”, explains Fiorella Sangalli, Marketing Head of Cerveza Cusqueña.
They agree that this year’s Oktoberfest will be the perfect occasion for beer lovers to enjoy this new version of the drink. It can be found in two presentations: in 330ml and 630 ml bottles and it will be available in supermarkets until the end of this month.
“The Oktoberfest is celebrated in Peru uninterrupted since 2002 and is considered the most important beer event in the country. This year the Oktoberfest Peru – 2018 will take place on the Costa Verde Esplanade, in Magdalena del Mar, on October 25, 26, 27, 28 and 31. Tickets are available in Wong Teleticket and Metro”, according to information from El Comercio.
