Peru chosen as "Best Exploration Route"

Peru was voted as “Best Exploration Route” during Hong Kong's International Travel Expo (ITE) that was held between June 11th and 14th.
The contest, called “New Travel Routes 2009,” was intended to choose the most romantic, charming, adorable, adventurous and mysterious routes, among other categories.
The event gathered more than 600 particpants from 50 countries of Africa, America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.
According to official reports, the event was visited by 75,640 people, and estimations indicate that over 11,000 visitors were tourism professionals, travel agencies, transport companies, hotels and journalists.
Peru's Tourism and Export Promotion Board (PromPeru) attended this fair in order to promote Peruvian attractions among Asian consumers.
