Peru And China Agree On Military Donations

The ministries of defense of Peru and China signed a cooperation agreement under which Beijing will donate military equipment to Lima worth $7 million US dollars.

“On 7 June, the late Peruvian defense minister José Huerta Torres (who died on 24 June) and the deputy chief of the Joint Staff Department of China’s Central Military Commission, Lieutenant General Shao Yuanming, signed the agreement”, Jane’s 360 informed. 

The equipment is expected to arrive in Peru by 2020 and the contents of the delivery have not yet been disclosed.

According to this website, this is the second major donation of military technology that China donates to Peru is two years.
