Machu Picchu, Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain and Lake Titicaca, were incorporated into the ranking of the 30 most beautiful landscapes in America prepared by the Association of Travel Agencies of Japan (JATA).
“In this sense, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú) revealed that according to the Japanese article, Machu Picchu stands out as an attraction that can’t be missed among the priorities of Japanese travelers when visiting South America, while Vinicunca is an ideal destination for nature and trekking-lovers”, La República said.
Also, Lake Titicaca in Puno, stands out for its floating islands and the serenity and unique colors it offers as the highest navigable lake in the world.
“The Japanese website Tabi Coffret also published an article mentioning Peru entitled “The three most amazing landscapes in South America”, in which it included Machu Picchu and the Nasca lines as unmissable destinations for tourists from Japan”, the aforementioned website said.
