Two trains crashed yesterday on the road to Machu Picchu, according to the news agency Andina.

The crash occurred at kilometer 88 on the road between Ollantaytampo and the town of Aguas Calientes. It was between a vehicle of the company IncaRain and one of PeruRail”, CNN reported.
According to information from the Civil Defense Institute, there are at least 6 injured. Allegedly, one of the trains stopped on the road because of a protest by residents, said Andina, quoting one of the passengers.
