The Peruvian Congress approved a legislative resolution that authorizes President Martín Vizcarra to travel to Portugal and Spain with the purpose of an official visit to those countries.
He will be leaving on February 24 and returning on March 3, this year.
“As indicated by the request for travel authorization sent to Congress, President Vizcarra will make a state visit to the Portuguese Republic between February 25 and 26, where he will hold meetings with his counterpart Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Antonio Costa, and high authorities of the Assembly of the Republic and the Municipal Chamber of Lisbon”, Andina News Agency informed.
Likewise, Vizcarra will participate in a business forum, whose central theme will be Peru, with the aim of promoting the country as a destination of opportunities for investment, tourism and culture.
“The State Visit to the Kingdom of Spain will be held from February 27 to March 1. The Head of State plans to meet with King Felipe VI and the Mayor of Madrid, Manuela Carmena, with whom he will participate in the inauguration of the ARCO Madrid 2019 Fair”, the news agency reported.
In addition, it will have a meeting with the president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, and with high authorities of the Congress of Deputies.
