Buda.com, a buying and selling intermediary for the bitcoin cryptocurrency, recently named Dennis Carranza as country manager for Peru.
“The new executive, who has more than a decade of experience in the world of financial technology, believes that Peru needs to know more about cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether, as well as its benefits and possibilities.”, said El Comercio.
Carranza informs that the focus of his management will be to boost the market for cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether, which is the second largest cryptocurrency in the world, in Peru. To do so, it is needed financial education and active participation in industry activities.
“He will also seek to bring this technology to both private and state entities and projects a growth of 30% by the beginning of 2019.”, he said, according to El Comercio.
However, this past weekend in Chile, Itaú and Scotiabank closed the Buda.com and CryptoMKT current accounts after receiving instructions “not to open an account to anyone related to cryptocurrencies.”, as was informed by the Chilean media Emol.
