More than 100,000 people received advice about finding employment in Peru.
Between August 2016 and March 2018, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) helped insert 86,275 people into employment, said El Peruano.
“These actions were carried out through the Employment Center, promotion mechanism for labor insertion, improvement of employability and development of sustainable enterprises.”, according to El Peruano today.
This news site also informs that currently there are 34 employment centers throughout the country and that one of the main achievements was the promotion of social dialogue, reflected in the reactivation of the National Council for Work and Promotion of Employment (CNTPE), where the increase in the minimum wage was discussed.
A few weeks ago, the Executive Power approved the increase in minimum vital remuneration (RMV) from 850 to 930 soles.
Also, 104,394 people received advice about employment search in different cities of Peru, as well as other 155,689 young people were benefited with the sole labor certificate. This consists of a free document that the MTPE gives to people aged 18 to 29, which validates information on identity, address, formal work experience and police records.
Finally, 10,615 young people from the Amazonas, Ancash, Apurimac, Ayacucho, Callao, Huanuco, Ica, La Libertad, Lima, Madre de Dios, Pasco, Puno, Tacna and Ucayali regions were trained through the Young Productive program.
