In order to position Peru as a producer of specialty coffees in the North American market, a delegation of 25 special coffee producing companies and coffee producer organizations will participate in the SCA – Global Specialty Coffee Expo, Seattle, Washington, from April 19 to 22, said Andina today.
The delegation will participate in the Peruvian Pavilion of this fair, which is considered to be the most important in the world regarding specialty coffees.
This participation is part of the actions promoted by the Special Coffee Promotion Committee integrated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (Minagri), the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERU).
“During this event, the Peruvian group under the auspices of Minagri is made up of farmers from Utcubamba (Amazonas), Leoncio Prado (Huánuco), Oxapampa (Pasco), Satipo and Chanchamayo (Junín) and Andahuaylas (Apurímac), who have the opportunity to achieve a commercial approach with important international buyers, acquire new knowledge about new trends and market conditions of interest and exchange marketing experiences with global coffee organizations.”, Andina News Agency explained.
The Global Specialty Coffee Expo is recognized as one of the most consecrated events on specialty coffees in the world. It is considered as the most attractive commercial showcase to position these coffees in international markets.
The fair brings together more than 10,000 visitors and 3,500 exhibitors from 50 countries. Producers, importers, suppliers of services and machinery and supplies from all over the world participate.
