Edison Flores is the new player in the Monarcas Morelia’s roster. After negotiations between both teams, the peruvian winger will change his uniform and take fresh air in his career.
The 24 years old player has experience in the first division of Peru (Universitario de Deportes), alongside with the Danish league, where he played for Aalborg B.K. last two years.
Definitely, his appearance in the Russia World Cup was a great showcase for him. Edison Flores started in all three of Peru’s games. Although he remained scoreless, he had chances to shine on the pitch, especially in the game against Denmark.
“We like the Mexican league. It has nothing to envy other tournaments. We want to see the growth of the Peruvian player”, said National team’s coach, Ricardo Gareca, to local media. Flores has scored 9 goals in 32 official games with the National Team, since his debut in 2013. The next goal is the Copa América 2019, and he looks like a key name in Gareca´s planning.
The Mexican club from Morelia counts with three Peruvian players now: Flores, Irven Ávila and Ray Sandoval. His fellow countrymen are excited about the team’s new acquisition and posted in Social Media to congratulate him.
Edison Flores is already in Mexico to start working with the squad managed by Roberto Hernández Ayala. This Monday, the player was checked by the medical staff, and made the transfer official. The amount of the transaction has not been confirmed. However, some sources inside the league assure is at least $3.000.000. A huge deal for any Peruvian.
