The Peruvian Ambassador in Honduras, José Betancourt Rivera, donated several children’s books and others from diverse literary genres to Escuela del Perú, a school in Tegucigalpa.
“The Peruvian diplomat delivered in a very significant act, last week, a batch of children’s stories and other literary genres for the Library of the ‘Republic of Peru’ School, located in the El Pedregal neighborhood of Tegucigalpa”, La Tribuna said.
Since his arrival in Honduras in October 2016, Betancourt has demonstrated his interest in promoting the education of the Honduran children, the aforementioned media said.
Likewise, this donation is convergent with the national plan to promote reading in primary public education, which is being promoted by the government of President Juan Orlando Hernández.
