Dining rooms, spa, onboard pianist, and glamorous accommodations are just a few things you can find aboard the Andean Explorer.
You might already know that the best way to get to Cusco is by train, but if you want to do it in the most luxurious way, then you have to hop on Belmond’s Andean Explorer.
This train was launched in May 2017 and has a total of 24 cabins. According to Departures.com. It “offers a new level of opulence in southern Peru as the country’s first luxury sleeper car”.
The Andean Explorer departs from Arequipa and after three days and two nights, the passengers arrive in Cusco, not before enjoying a peaceful journey, breathtaking sceneries of valleys and canyons in the Andes mountains, and incredible comfort.
You can also opt for a two-day, one-night trip from Puno, but whatever your choice is, the local savory dishes, artfully-crafted cocktails, and glamorous accommodations will be there waiting for you.
And, if you’re feeling stressed, you can go to the spa to receive full-body massages, facials, and clay wraps, or visit the lounge car where the onboard pianist will be delighting you while you have your favorite cocktail.
“The journey may not be the most efficient way of getting around southern Peru, but it’s by far the most alluring”, wrote Departures.com.
The suites have a cost starting from $1,655 for the three-day journey, based on double occupancy.
