The television series “El Último Bastión” or “The Last Bastion” in English, which recalls the history around the Independence of Peru, premiered last Monday.
This production highlights the most important events and the historical, social, cultural and human process that took place at the beginning of the 18th century, according to a review by Perú 21.
“The launch was on Monday 10, at 10:00 pm, and the production is in charge of the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP)”, the aforementioned media explained.
This production also occurs within the framework of the activities for the 200 years of the Independence of Peru and it was recorded in 4K, the standard characteristic of productions Netflix or HBO currently use.
The story is not focused on the classic story about the liberators José de San Martín or Simón Bolívar, the plot focuses on the Robles family, owners of a farm located in the town of Magdalena, on the other side of Lima’s walls.
“For that reason, ‘The Last Bastion’ ends with the idea that only heroes and liberators forged independence, and highlights the role of citizens around the emancipation”, Perú 21 said.
