"Silent Auction" to raise funds for Peru's chapter of the Make a Wish Foundation

More than 100 original masks, created by several artists and other renowned personalities from Peru's cultural, political, social and sports scenes, will be auctioned this September 22nd, so that more children with life-threatening diseases can realize their most wanted wishes and regain hope, strength and joy, according to Aida Vurnbrand, president of Peru's Chapter of Make-A-Wish Make Foundation.

These extraordinary objects will be sold in an original “Silent Auction,” that will be held at Corriente Alterna Visual Arts School.

Some of the Peruvian artists that are collaborating with this noble cause are Fernando de Zsyszlo, Jose Tola, Venancio Shinki, Rafael García Miró, Jaime Higa, Denisse Mulánovich, and Carlos Revilla, among others.

The Silent Auction will take place on September 22nd, at 7pm.

About .10 cents of every dollar given to American charities is given to the intented beneficiary. 

90% of your donation is paid for salaries, benefits, travel, rent/mortgage, utilities, advertising, promotions, celebrity endorsements, and more.

I notice that these organizations use women, children and, cute animals to raise money to mostly create jobs for themselves.

Terri, there are very good statistics about non-profit giving in the USA (not sure what that has to do with Peru) and your statistics are simply wrong on many levels.

There are standards for over-head costs vs. direct services cost and there are many non-profits that do not meet those standards and they should be judged accordigly, however, the vast majority do meet the standards of having a less than 12% administrative costs.  The books are open and the money is easy to follow

Why you have to make up things that are clearly and with much evidence not even close to true is beyond me.

The 10 cents is more than any other group is currently providing, you do not here of any Peruvian Groups helping anyone...
You have many Doctors and such that have very good jobs in the us, do they ever return home to Peru and do anything for Peru.
Once they are gone, they are gone.....................
