Meteorite in Puno, Peru Reported to be a U.S. Spy Satellite

(LIP-ir) -- Peru's RPP news reported today that according to the Russian daily, Pravda, what landed in Puno, Peru on Saturday August 15 was a North American spy satellite targeting Iran.

According to the Russian daily, Russian Military Intelligence Analysts reported that the U.S. spy satellite KH-13 was destroyed in its orbit with its main power generator surviving re-entry and crashing in Peru.

In addition, it was reported that the sicknesses caused in Puno were due to the radiation in the generator.

According to the daily, it would have been impossible for a meteorite to hit the ground, cause a 30 meter-crater and not have been recorded by seismic stations around the world.

Furthermore, Pravda reported that the U.S. destroyed the spy satellite themselves by having the United States Air Forces' 30th Space Wing located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California make the attack. Italian daily, Corriere della Sera published the same report.

Yesterday, Puno, Peru's Regional Tourism Directorate announced that the area around the crater would be roofed and turned into a tourist attraction for all those that wanted to see the large crater.

That must have been one hell of a big satellite not to have burned up during re-entry!

This supposed space-station-sized satellite, when crashing into the ground, must have had some physics-defying ability not to show up at seismic stations when a space-station-sized meteor would have.

Why would your site choose to print this completely false and inflamitory dung by the government-controlled propagandist TASS agency?
Your own experts have identified the crater as having come from a meteorite and your seismic stations did record the event.
  Shame on you!!!

I laugh a lot!
Pravda.ru has nothing to do with the former Soviet NUMBER ONE daily!

More. The seismic was registered and radiation was absent.
Funny!

Shame in you L.I.P. Your better than that

I apologize. I didn't mean to say "TASS" I meant to say "Pravda".

Still, this false, inflamitory, fantasy story deserves no press. It only serves to make bad will. We have too much of that already in this world.

A proper news channel should check its sources before publishing.

Boy!!!

I can't believe a news agency would try to deceive their people like this! How stupid do they think we are?? It's almost like reading the made up tabliods here in America!

Come on...Is this even a real news site? You just messing with us!!

Give a LIP a break already. They didn't make up the story and they don't have their own staff of journalists writing these either, they simply re-post Peru related news stories from other sources.

  Hey!
There are plenty of legitimate factual stories about this rare and exciting meteorite.    This one belongs on the cutting room floor!

(sarcasm)
This WAS NOT, I repeat NOT a meteorite that crashed into Peru.   In FACT it was a secret U.S. weather balloon mission named Project Mogul.
There were NO SICK INDIVIDUALS  that were taken to nearby hospitals as were reported, but merely TEST DUMMIES that fell out of the balloon during descent which caused mass hysteria by primitive locals who mistook the mannequins for relatives who has fallen ill.
This correction of information was provided to you courtesy of the

Why doesn't someone drain the water already from that crater and look inside and take pictures???? If it's a satellite there will be satellite parts, if it's a meteor there will be meteor...stuff. Speculating is just a waste of time. PERU STOP SHOWING US PICTURES OF THAT CRATER FILLED WITH WATER. Show us the inside!!!!

Shortly before this impact 6 nuclear bombs that were to be decommisioned were ""accidently"" loaded on an air force bomber which was detained at Barksdale airforce base, after beeing ordered to the groud. The minot air crew is reported missing. Also 11 people had been killed at barksdale under suspicios circumstances since. One shot during shift change this morning.

This bomber was headed to the middle east.

This is a FACT please do look it up, also there has been no real media coverage.

I would say keep an eye out for someone to take a fall. If there was to be an attack Thank GOD it did not happen.

One last thing the Russian Military has confirmed that they tracked the satellite that crashed in Peru. They have also stated the attack on the satellite was launched from North America.

Please do look this up as well.

This really happened. it is no meteorite. A meteorite large enough to cause this size crater is expected to release the equivalent of 1 kiloton of energy. Please do look it up.
SPECIAL REPORT -- "Lost" B-52 nuke cruise missiles were on way to Middle East for attack on Iran; Air Force refused
to fly weapons to Middle East theater.

WMR has learned from U.S. and foreign intelligence sources that the B-52 transporting six stealth AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missiles, each armed with a W-80-1 nuclear warhead, on August 30, were destined for the Middle East via Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.

However, elements of the Air Force, supported by U.S. intelligence agency personnel, successfully revealed the ultimate destination of the nuclear weapons and the mission was aborted due to internal opposition within the Air Force and U.S. Intelligence Community.

Yesterday, the Washington Post attempted to explain away the fact that America's nuclear command and control system broke down in an unprecedented manner by reporting that it was the result of "security failures at multiple levels." It is now apparent that the command and control breakdown, reported as a BENT SPEAR incident to the Secretary of Defense and White House, was not the result of a command and control chain-of-command "failures" but the result of a revolt and push back by various echelons within the Air Force and intelligence agencies against a planned U.S. attack on Iran using nuclear and conventional weapons.

Looks like the only way to get the REAL answer is to go to Peru and look in the crater yourselves!!!!!

I heard they have good food there. Try an anticucho while you search for the truth!!!

What a riot!!!! People can't believe the scientists?-- its a meteorite!!! Why manufacture all these stories---scare people---it might have created some obnoksious gases--at the time--from earth.. Once they drain the thing-- can make tests & see what kind of metals are in it. If it had anything 2 do with nuclear bombs-- gases & debree would have circled the earth by now-- & we would all be inhaling fumes!!! then would also be at war--going on between N America & the masses-- think people-- think!!!
