U.S. Collector Admits He Bought Meteorite Fragments in Peru

(LIP-ir) -- Andina, Peru's official government news agency, reported today that the "meteorite hunter" Michael Farmer admitted that he had taken 300 grams of meteorite fragments out of Peru. The fragments were reported to be of the meteorite that landed in Carancas, Puno, Peru.

The professional meteorite collector stated that he had legally bought the fragments from townspeople in the area. "It's not true that I stole a piece of the meteorite. I paid more or less one thousand dollars for the 300 grams of meteorite which were in 100 fragments," said Farmer in a telephone conversation with Andina.

It was reported that the U.S. citizen arrived to Desaguadero on September 29 from La Paz, Bolivia with an American and a German. Farmer stated, "I went to the police first because I didn't know where the place was."

Furthermore, Farmer explained, "I told them that I had come to buy the meteorite. They called PNP Major Victor Anaya and took me to the crater in two police vehicles."

When he arrived to the crater he explained that the people wanted to know what to do with the meteorite so they could make some money. "I told them to take it out of the crater," said Farmer. The "Meteorite hunter" stated he had pictures and videos to prove his version of the story.

Farmer told Andina news that the mayor of Desaguadero had agreed to take the meteor out of the crater. The meteorite was to be extracted on October 1 after a ceremony was held. Farmer stated that everything had gone as planned until Peru's police intervened.

According to the meteorite collector approximately 30 kilos of the meteorite had already been sold when he arrived to the site almost two weeks after it had landed. "The whole world was there," said Farmer. He stated that Major Victor Anaya had sold an American a 4-kilo piece of the meteorite for two thousand dollars.

Moreover, the meteorite collector stated that the police took the majority of the meteorite pieces and told the townspeople that they were dangerous.

"I bought a lot of pieces from the police and now they are treating me as if I were a thief." said Farmer. He also stated that Peru's police had threatened to put him in jail if he didn't give them money. This is why Farmer was obligated to escape to Bolivia.

My friends, the locals and police have been selling these pieces off for more than two weeks before I arrived. There was no problem until a famous "Gringo" arrived, then the poblems started. The police are just pissed that they did not have more to sell to me, then they stole money from me.
Peru, this should be an embarrasment to you, letting the largest and rarest meteorite to fall in decades rot away in sewage water. Pathetic scientists you have there. This will be spoken of for centuries, such a rare fall to be left to rust in dirty water, just because thy don't want a Gringo involved, such racist people.

Well Michael, (if its really you, and I believe it is) welcome to Peru. Dont know how much experience you have here but you certainly got the crash coarse. This is a typical behavior up here in the Andes. Realize fair skinned people have been ah, emmm, "extracting" all sorts of material from here for over 400 years and thats a long time to build distrust and many feel they have the right to strike back financially at us if they can. But to your defence, you seemed to have paid a fair price for the pieces and attempted to do so in a professional manner, with that I stand by you. However, the local administration wanted to make tourist dollars off the site, so there was a higher power that got involved.  Last year, I paid $20 for a meteorite the size of my fist from a street vender in Ica, I guess I got a bargain...

Michael; if that is you.  It's clear you got yourself into a mess.  That's unfortunate.  But please don't insult the country nor its people. There are many reasons we can have to criticize or being upset with any country -nobody is free of problems and there are some very big crimes outside Peru- but that does not justify words like yours.

# Michael Farmer says :
5 October, 2007 [ 08:44 ]

It is indeed me, I got into trouble because I tried to do good in Peru, and the police are thieves, they wanted all of the money I had and did not want the local people to make a penny. Let me tell you, I loved the Aymara people, they are wonderful, the problem is the government people and police who called me a gringo (racist if you ask me, I am offended by it) and now they call me a theif. If one person can show me a law against buying meteorites in Peru, then I am a theif. However, since this is the first to have been recovered there other than one iron meteorite find, then I can assure you, buying pieces of rock is not against the law.
I like Peru, I like most of the people I saw, but the lies being printed in the press, as told by local scientists, are beyond the pale.
Michael

Michael,

You did not get in trouble for trying to do good in Peru...you did a combination of self-serving actions and offered some good advice..not quite the same thing.

You did not deserve the reaction and yes, there are crooked cops, but to judge an entire country over that is, in a word, stupid.

Peru has mis-handled this entire thing, but the people of Peru are, for the most part, a good people.  Do you realize that while petty theft is high here, violence is generally lower than the USA?.. that after the earthquake even the poorest of Peruvians donated to earthquake relief.

And you took something that by chance was Peru's...I think you deserved some heat though not your treatment and certainly not the extortion.

But please stop portraying yourself as a fully innocent victem ..you were an opportunist who also offered some good advice.

# Juan Blake says :

Well Mr. Farmer welcome to the real world. Weather it is back in the states, or here in Peru, there is always going to be crooked cops & crooked polticos. A classic example of crooks is when Mr. Mel Fisher found the Atocha in the keys. Before no body even cared. The state of Florida & the Fed both tried to use the LAW as a means of stealing his good fortune. While at the same time, Florida & the FED fought each other over the same Atocha loot. It was only after the intervention of the U.S. Supreme Court that said Mel was entitled. When it comes to money, it is dog eat dog. Of course in this case, I know it was hard for you too keep a low profile.

# McCartney Taylor says :

Absolutely Mike Farmer did the right thing.  He recovers meteoritic material for dozens of institutions, if he doesn't get on site and recover material while its pristine, its usually ruined for science before the local clumsy government/university/police decide to do something.  Doing nothing is a safe avenue for most agencies.

While the Peruvian people are wonderful and kind, their goverment is the same as the US, Norway, Mexico, Sweden, Tanzania etc in terms of acting swiftly when needed.  They are all going to move too slow for saving material.

Now the govenrment will make decisions more based on public politics than science. Thank god indepentent meteoriticists like Farmer got their first.

There is no altrusism in Mr. Farmer`s dealings. He rushes to falls with pockets-full of money to buy meteorites from ignorant locals. He then sells them to collectors and INSTITUTIONS.

Randall

# Michael Farmer says :
25 October, 2007 [ 18:38 ]

Randall, WOW, what insight you have. You are totally correct, I go, buy meteorite from locals with pockets fulls of cash, and I sell them to collectors and institutions.
Why do you call the locals ignorant? Do you think they can become meteorite dealers? They get an offer, and they accept, bargain, or decline my money.
What part of this confuses you? Are you a communist?
Go back to your hole, you are obviously so fucking stupid, and you are totally delusional.
I am still awaiting your lawsuit, when is the trial:)

# Randall Gregory says :
25 October, 2007 [ 19:06 ]

Most people do not know the value of meteorites. Ignorance does not imply stupid. You are stupid. The locals are ignorant of the fact that meteorites are more valuable than gold.  Concerning the trial, you'll find out when you are served. That will be a happy day for me! I think you think I'll never file. That's funny to me!

When I'm in Carancas, you can use the time to read up on Internet Tort Law and recent awards for slander. I'll be finding out information on Peruvian extradition agreements with other countries. Travel to one of those countries, and I'll be watching and informing. Peru will get you back, guarannnnnnnnnnnnttedddddd.

I won't be here to play with you for awhile. I'm going back to Carancas very soon. Dr. Nunez and I have a lot of work to do...

See ya Bud.

# Randall Gregory says :

Mr. Farmer is a habitual lier. He came into Peru telling everyone he was an American Scientist from the University of Colorado. A man with barely a high school education, representing himself as a Doctor. He then buys meteorites from a couple of low level cops and publicly decries that he bought from the police chief. The police chief was in another town on the day Mr. Farmer said he purchased his stones and the police chief has absolute proof. The police chief is bringing a lawsuit against Mr. Farmer in Peru for personal slander and injury to his reputation. I am also bringing a lawsuit in Mr. Farmer's state of Arizona for the same charges. I suspect that his accomplises do not want to be involved in multiple lawsuits and might be willing to provide testimony against Mr. Farmer, but that remains to be seen.

Mr. Farmer then made a feeble attempt to pursuade the local townspeople that the meteorite was worth a lot of money. What Mr. Farmer's unscientific mind failed to realize is that the meteorite (estimated to weight between 5 - 10 tons) is buried at least 60 feet below the crater. Mr. Farmer has no concept of ballistics and impact forces. Granted Mr. Farmer is very knowledgeable about the different types of meteorites. But my son can name hundreds of YU GI OH cards, with characteristics. Meteorite dealers do not impress me. Scientists impress me.

I wanted to provide an update in case anyone might be interested.

When Mr. Farmer returned to the United States, he created a few web pages about his exploits in Peru. In a feeble effort to promote the sale of the meteorites he bought in Peru (he set the price at $100 per gram), he stole the scientific works of a prominent scientist showing the trajectory path of the meteorite. He stripped the copyright information off of the chart and posted it to his own website to make people think that he created it. He then had the audacity to put at the bottom of the web page that "All information is the Property of Michael Farmer and may not be used".

He then sold some Carancas meteorites to a fellow dealer, telling this dealer that the meteorites had hit the house that was close to the meteorite crater. I was at the crater long before Mr. Farmer arrived and I know for a fact that the area had been picked clean by the locals. The poor local people knew the meteorites were worth money and spent all day, every day searching for little pieces of the meteorite. Mr. Farmer claims that he waltzed in, and found all these little meteorites along side of the house that had tumbled off the roof. That is the lie that he told this other dealer and this poor dealer is now selling these meteorites and claiming they are "house hitters".

Anyone with common sense would realize that this is just another one of Michael Farmer lies. Imagine for a moment, that you have a bag filled with gold nuggets and you go to the poorest section of a city. Maybe Detroit, Chicago or Los Angeles. You gather the people in the neighborhood and tell them you are going to scatter these nuggets in a field. You tell the residents that the nuggets are worth $700 an ounce.

You come back 2 1/2 weeks later or in the case of Mr. Farmer, 3 weeks. How many nuggets do you think you'll find?

Mr. Farmer claims he found a bunch just lying on the ground. I met many people that had been sifting the ground with a magnet just to get little tiny specks. They were accomplished meteorite spotters and knew exactly what to look for.

Michael Farmer Meteorites - Carancas - Meteorite Hunter - Cali

Open letter to Michael Farmer:

Please Michael, will you stop the crybaby stuff. Grow up.  And I do not take kindly to DEATH THREATS from you or anybody else. And you call me a nutjob, Mr. Psychologist.  You are the one that needs therapy. With your stupid public statements you tarnished the meteorite and scientific communities in the United States. What kind of threat is this?

> Stray dogs also get shot and dumped in the sewer.
> I am going to stir some shit soon, I am bored with
> you, and no longer amused at a fuckjob.
> Come on to my house, you will see what I can do.

I believe people are sick and tired reading about private personal skirmishes. I promised my wife to keep these exchanges private, but you choose again to make it public. So be it.
Let the list have some peace. This is my last post about you, MF. (unless you force me to defend myself again)

You do the meteorite community no justice when you post things like that. New people to the list might not want to stay. Most people know your money motivations and the ploys you use. Like how you tried to discredit an honest bolivian dealer, how you ridicule people, how you make statements without providing any shred of evidence, how you steal scientific works to impress people, and on and on and on. And on the personal side. You send e-mails to my children, get Michael J. Cottingham to tag-team me at the Living in Peru website. You tell the embassy in Lima, Peru lies about me. If this jeopardizes my wife getting her Visa, you will pay dearly for that.  You tell me that you're going to report me to the U.S. customs as a cocaine smuggler. What's next Mike?  I'm including our last exchange at the end of this text body so people can judge for themselves.

And please stop your lies. If people want a compendium of your lies, theft of intellectual property, threats, and cheating with positive proof, they can e-mail me privately.  I have a ton and it paints a very vivid picture.
If you want to deceive honest people and tell everyone some of the Carancas as house hitters go ahead with your little deception, but I know the area was picked clean by the locals. Even the dust around the crater was sifted with magnets before I arrived. I spent two solid days searching the property long before you arrived. Scores of poverty stricken locals were searching from dawn to dusk for two weeks solid.
Imagine going to the poorest section of LA with a bag of gold nuggets, gather the neighborhood and tell them these nuggets are worth $700 an ounce and you going to scatter these nuggets in a field. Then come back 2 1/2 weeks later and see how any nuggets can be recovered. If the people want to believe you just waltzed in a found all these house hitters then so be it. It speaks volumes about the gullibility of some people and the fact that they believe every lie you tell them.

And not to mention the Cali meteorite. How dealers are selling for $1,500 to $3,000 per gram and then you turn around and sell Cali #8 for $300 per gram. I'm sure the people that bought Cali will love that one.

I bet they also believed that those charts you stole from Dr. Jackson and posted to your web-site with the notice at the bottom "That everything was the property of Michael Farmer and can not be used" were yours. Remember that little theft of intellectual property? And the theft of other the other intellectual property that Dr. Jackson told you about. Remember those?
I'm certain that the scientists you deal with would not want their property stolen by you.

And you want to post private exchanges to the public to gain sympathy? Sympathize this!

From "Mike in Japan" to Randall today:

>Have a nice day, i will be raking in more dough here
>in japan this weekend than you make than you make in a year.
>isnt that just funny?

And what were my so-called threats that you lie about. Exposing you for what you are? Telling people the truth about Carancas. How come Mortiz and Young haven't backed up your story. I know they probably don't speak Spanish but I have the versions that the people in Desaguardero told me. I've been to the crater 3 times and I'll be going back soon.

Were my threats  similar to yours when you wrote to Matteo?

Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2004 22:31:16 -0700 (PDT) from the MetCen Archives

> Hey you retarded dickhead, I was in Europe for the
> weekend, why do you never leave Italy? Are you afraid
> that you will get killed? Do you have no money?
> I will come to venice soon, I will sit outside your
> slum and wait for you to show your fu..cking face, then
> I will pound it in. After the things you have said to
> me, you will pay with alot of pain.
> fu..ck off and die.

Matteo replys: what Farmer write to me in private, seen he not have problems to put my private emails in pubblic

I refuse to post any more personal exchanges to the list and I'm done with this idiot Mike Farmer. Our issues will be handled in court.

Woah, what a bunch of crap over bits of matter that have no claim to worth other than being at one time floating about in outer space and being slightly charred in Earth's atmosphere.  Worthless iron junk (mostly) and benign in makeup and unremarkable even as meteorites go.  I checked out over 30 grams of the stuff and (yawn) nothing new or noteworthy here. As far as the rest of the B.S. going on, you ALL need to grow up and find a (new) hobby. Nobody cares.
Oh, and my source paid $350 US for 80 grams and got 25 or so more than he paid for as the local didn't know how to use his new "made in China" digital scale.  These bits are now the proud property of UW Stevens Point.

Are you ready for another tale of Mike Farmer (meteorite smuggler, thief, lier, scammer and con artist)?

There was a massive meteorite fall on April 6th in the Entre Rios area of Argentina. Argentina passed a national law last year declaring all meteorites to be the property of the people of Argentina and the government as part of their National Heritage.

Last week he flew down to Argentina, filled his pockets and then scrambled back to the United States where he is openly broadcasting on his website the illegally obtained meteorites. I suspect he will be offering them on Ebay for no less than $100 per gram. He claims to have obtained (smuggled) 4,000 grams.

Mike Farmer "flipped out" over one of my emails and posted a very vile and untruthful post to the meteorite central forum. He totally misunderstood the meaning of my email. How can I possibly deal with a man who is emotionally unstable and without morals? My wife says I'm stupid to try to deal with him. Call me stupid.

Congratulations John! But you forgot to mention about the college education for your children and your new vacation home in Hawaii.

While you're enjoying your riches the children of Peru's altiplano (Puno and Carancas areas) will have to endure weaked immune systems caused by malnutrition. I hope you managed to get some meteorites from Argentia! They're a hot seller these days.

Sleep well. Say your prayers and don't forget to thank God for your windfall.

Yes, John,

I must be the stupid one here for donating 1/2 of the meteorites I collected. You would probably say I was even stupider for spending $1,000 of my own money to help protect the crater. And really really stupid for giving food to the community of Carancas.

Brother Smith,

Since you are a "counselor" then you should be able to spell "schitzofrinic" and " observsations" like a "professional" would.

Nice try Brother Smith (a.k.a) Mike Farmer. Your misspellings writing style gave you away.

I sincerely hope that the Editor will view these and reconsider reinstating some of my earlier posts so content can be recorded by Internet search engines. My other friends (Spanish forum's) are already helping me. Hopefully, this will help to end your avarice. You need a little con"soul"ing and I'm certain that correctional institutions will be more than happy to assist you.

Adios, the night is young and I got a TON of work to do.

Mr. Haag,

You say that Mike Farmer kicked my ...? Time will tell. Can Mike Farmer lie his way out of the Entre Rios Argentina meteorite fall? I wouldn't bet too much on that.

I'm sure that Mike Farmer would also care less about the woman in China who will likely be imprisoned by his actions and web broadcast. I feel sorry for her.

I also feel sorry that your actions in Australia at Calacong Creek helped to shut down that country as well. You guys are unbelievable!

Randall, you are damn right, I got CC out of Australia, perfectly legal. They cried like you are crying then made a law LATER, what part is so hard for you?
Is there a law in Peru? You have yet to produce a single shred of any law in Peru forbidding removal of meteorites. It seems that if he paid for them, then he did nothing wrong, you know it, and we all know it.
The locals sold he paid, he went home and sold, oldest story in the world.

Mr. Haag,

I used to have respect for you. I really did. You're an icon and legend in the meteoritic world. Maybe your actions in Australia was a mistake? Maybe your actions in Argentina was a mistake?

I liked the fact that we share the hobby of paragliding. Made you look cool with your wife driving around in the Corvette while you're flying around hunting for meteorites.

You are absolutely correct about Peru. They had no laws against meteorite hunting or purchasing.
I have absolutely no issue with that.

The issues I have are the reckless actions of Mike Farmer. In his zest for meteorites he rallied the people of Desaguadeo to quickly extract the main mass? For what purpose? Answer this question. Please.

Mike in all his stupidity complained about a few people urinating in the crater. There are no facilities at the crater. If someone came to your house, would you rather have them use your lawn or your swimming pool? Answer this please.

Much of the Carancas meteorite was already in the hands of Peruvian and Bolivian scientists and you are well aware that the locals distributed more than 1,000 grams to various people.

Mike Farmer was the sole cause of the government of Desaguadero to shut down access to the crater to scientists from other countries who wanted to study the crater. Eventually, access was allowed and they completed their work. But it was Mike Farmer's actions that is now causing Peru to shut down meteorite hunting and collecting.

His actions are the direct cause of shutting down an area equal to 3/4 of the continental United States.

Congratulations! Mike Farmer.

Mr. Haag,

I am not angry at his achievments nor am I angry at yours. In many cases, both of you brought material to the scientific community and that might not have been possible without your efforts.

In other cases it caused strained relations and caused countries to clamp down on hunting. And that, is a much bigger lose to the scientific community. Now, nobody will have any incentives to hunt in these countries and scientists are too busy to launch private expeditions.

You are so blind that you can not see that it is your actions that are an embarassment to Amricans. Take a look at your earlier posts, you say that "Peru will get even with Mike" so please, since in your last post you admit that he did not steal anything, you can not break a law which does not exist, then what does Peru need to get even with him for?  It is you who wants to get even, he bought and sold meteorites, you got left behind.
You posts are so full of contradictions it is not even funny.
Do yourself a favor and go back to whatever it was you did before Carancas meteorite fell, with every post on here and the meteorite list, you simply solidify your place as a man who lacks the self control to contain yourself to logical discourse rather than this vile spew.
I have said enough, you are so dense that it will not get through, as Mike posted yesterday on the met list, he was right, I wanted to know what he was talking about, and now I know.
Take a look at yourself, you need to take a breather and seek inner-peace.

Anybody who calls himself the "top dog of the meteorite world" has to be some type of character stuck on himself who is probably not worth...s--t. I don't want to use foul language on this site.....nor insult the Peruvian people who read and contribute to this forum, like Haag just did, calling them "idiots" and "starving monkeys" . Yes Haag, these posts are here for everyone to see and you're coming across like American white trash and an ignoramus. It sounds to me that guys like you live in a dog-eat-dog world of adventures.....looking for meteorites and selling them on e-bay so you can drive the tackiest, hard-ass American car around.....the Corvette (fiberglass) and hang a gold rope around your neck, for extra flash. You probably don't like what I just wrote.....but I didn't like you calling Peruvians "idiots" and "starving monkeys" on this great website, either. You're abusing the priviledge to write here and you just put your foot in your mouth insulting the local people.  Back off!

Randall Gregory, drop the subject: don't answer these rascals....they're not worth it. Pick up the phone and have a shouting match with Haag, Palmer and Humphreys...but don't abuse this forum.

Entre Rios meteorito farmer

Mr. Haag, I don't believe I ever said Peru will get even with Mike. Peru doesn't work like that and Peru has far more serious problems than the actions of a petty criminal. Peruvian officals have already denunced the actions of Mr. Farmer.

Hank, I agree. If you notice the dates of my posts, I stopped posting on Dec 18th, 5 months ago. I only returned to this forum on April 25 when it was reported that Mike Farmer broke laws and illegally smuggled meteorites out of Argentina.

Yes, I now recall that comment. It specifically says "Peru will get you back" and at that time, It was true. Some people in Peru were very unhappy with the actions of Mike Farmer just like people in Argentina are unhappy with Mike Farmer's theft and smuggling of meteorites from Argentina. It has been reported in numerous Argentina newspapers Google search (entre rios meteorito farmer) and the tone indicates that the people in Argentina are enraged with his blatent actions.

http://derf.com.ar/despachos.asp?cod_des=197129&ID_Seccion=42

The whole story of Carancas is here in Living in Peru. I hope people will take the time to read the history. Typing in "Carancas" on the main page on Living in Peru will give you the entire story.

Here is an excerpt from one article published here:

Furthermore, it was reported that a group of townspeople kept INGEMMET scientists which had traveled to Carancas from getting close to the crater and studying it. Núñez also stated that a group from Peru's Geophysics Institute (IGP) was also kept from doing research in the area.

Núñez assured that the townspeople's behavior was due to the fact that the 'meteorite hunter' Michael Farmer, who was in Carancas, Peru and bought pieces of the meteorite, had told the people that they had one million dollars in the crater.

It was reported that Farmer paid villagers US$1000 for 300 grams of the meteorite. Since then, 400 locals have organized themselves into two groups which guard the crater day and night. Núñez has stated that the situation in Puno, Peru is "very tense."

The authorities in Peru were very upset with the fact that Mike Farmer came into peru and LIED to authorites by telling them that he was an American scientist from the University of Colorado.

They were upset that he disrupted the government by broadcasting that the meteorite in the Crater was worth $1,000,000 in a area of extreme poverty.

They were upset that he caused the disruption of important scientific work being conducted at the crater.

They were upset that he made false charges about he Police Chief of Desaguardero. Mayor Anaya was going to file charges against him. It is documented that Mayor Anaya was in a different city on the day Mike Farmer said he bought meteorites from Anaya!

Peru's El Comercio newspaper reported today that Victor Anaya, the Chief of Police in Desaguadero, Puno, Peru stated he did not sell fragments of the meteorite to the U.S. meteorite collector. Anaya stated that the accusations made by Farmer were "completely false."

They were upset that he returned to the United States and broadcast to the world that the scientist and people in Peru were stupid. He ridiculed and laughed at Peruvian scientists by creating a cartoon showing cave men and labeled them Peruvian Scientists.

Mayor Anaya wanted him back to stand charges for comitting Slander and Libel.
Yes, I believe Peru would like him to come back and attone for his sins. Morocco wants him back and has offered a reward. I'm certain Australia would want him back. And when China finds out, I'm sure they would be interested in him as well not to mention Argentina.

It is all here in the Living Peru articles and various sources on the Internet. Everyone can go back and read the complete story and see the real Mike Farmer. They can also read about his transgressions in Morocco, Australia, and Argentina.

I would like to end this on a positive note. This event has helped Peru to become recognized in the scientific communities around the world.

Dear Mr. Haag,

I would like to offer my deepest apology for the recent email sent to you. I am somewhat ashamed for including in that email some of the vile statement sent to me by Mr. Farmer. My wife is also very upset with me when she found out I included you and a few other members. I hope in time you will be able to forgive me. It was a knee-jerk reaction to a emotionally charged situation.

My intent was to appeal to some of the people that I respect in the meteorite community to try to talk some sense to Mr. Farmer. I believe he is causing irrepairable harm to a hobby that I love. My wife is Peruvian and I consider Peru my second home. When someone publically trashes the fine scientists of Peru and causes the government to consider laws banning meteorite hunting, I feel the need to defend. I hope you understand. I want to help protect and preserve some of the integrity the community has left. The history of meteoritics is a noble one.

Gregory's email addresses. RG - another lie? I sent you some email as a test from my three regular accounts and you received them just fine.
it seems he has been working on overtime    RG - True, I have been very busy! on the stupid Living in Peru.    RG- Disagree.  Living in Peru is not Stupid.

He is posting nasty posts about me,            RG - Just telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

posting things under ROBERT HAAG and Michael Farmer and John
Humphries and many other names.  RG - I never post anything under other people’s name. I never impersonate "REAL" people.  That's criminal.

I just spoke to Haag,     RG - I don't believe it. prove it. Another lie! who is upset that this is going on,   RG - yes he is, he told me that and I don’t blame him Randall is telling these people that I am posting using their names.   RG – I told them because you did post using John and Robert. The IP adresses are positive proof.
Everyone on this list, I have no doubt, is aware that
I speak my mind openly (sometimes to my own detriment).  RG - That's an understatement!
I have no need to waste my time playing games, I am just a tad busy this week.   RG - Planning your next caper?Or just too busy counting your money?
ANYONE, and I mean anyone, please, I am not posting
using any name,  RG - Outright lie, not really you're posting using your own name but we know what you mean
I am not posting bad things to any personal websites as has been done in my name    RG - you're lying again, Mike.   I want everyone to IGNORE this freak.       RG - YOU DON'T GIVE ORDERS TO PEOPLE, people can make up their own minds and chose to ignore me if they want. I must come on here in public to deny all of these things that are being done, posted, emailed or suggested in my name.     RG - I can't publically respond to your lies,  I can't "Go Public" because I have been banned from posting to the Meteorite Central website. I am open to all suggestions/advice/tactics to get this tick off of my ass.    RG – Tactics? Try honesty! Ticks can be annoying, but ignored they can get infected, which is where this
Randall thing is headed.   RG - Yes, I agree. Ticks would become infected from your blood! Normal people wouldn’t infect tics, however, people become infected from your poisonous mind.
I am at my wits end on this one.  RG - I wonder why? Did you ever feel guilty?  Again, ANYTHING posted in my name is not from me,  RG - including this post?

please email or call me if you get something
purporting to be from me other than direct email.  RG - I hope they comply!

As a community, we need to stick together and rid ourselves of this guy,  RG - Would this be called a lynching party? Rid me from the MetCen list? You’ve already done that. Rid me from what? Are you looking to hire a hit man?
who is trying everything to tear us apart as a friendly group.  RG - that's funny!!!  I want to help restore some of the integrity lost to the community that you destroyed. I consider some people in that friendly group to be my friends as well. Michael Farmer

Mr. Farmer,

You sent me a hundred emails? You begged me to stop? STOP LYING MIKE. Tell the truth for once and just maybe you can regain some things. You're the one that can't take a hint...

So you're finally going to stop? I have a hard time believing that.

I'll make this my last post and see what happens. I heard a rumor today that Argentina authorities have reported you to INTERPOL. It might be a rumor but my source lives in Argentina and I consider him to be reliable.

You should be more concerned about that then with your postings on MetCen and Living in Peru.

I really don't want anything more to do with you.

R

Boys: please! that's enough!  I don't want to see either one of your names in this forum.  If you don't stop this nastiness you're going straight to hell! Isn't that enough to scare you? Mike and Randy....you've got to bring this nonsense to an end.....now!

If the "living in Peru" editors are asleep at the switch that they let you carry on like this.....then I'm going to have to step in and do it myself!

Mike and Randy, you are putting the black note on this site and it's not fair to the rest of the readers. There is a limit to "controversial"....you've surpassed it.  Now....run along and do something productive, you must have a lot of time on your hands that you're wasting it fighting each other.  The Archbishop and myself naively thought that you were done fighting.  I'm warning you.....I don't want to see either one of your names here....or anyone impersonating you....is that clear??

Sister, please regain your composure. Let's pray for an end.

Sister,

You're absolutely right about that. It's not fair to the readers here.
I want you to know that this is my last post in this thread. If anything follows, then it's not from me. I'll keep my word. OK?

Randall (asking for forgivness)

Good Randy, you're forgiven....as I'm sure the Archbishop is praying for you and the rest of us.  Let Michael rant and rave and your impersonator say nasty things about you.....just don't answer. It's not worth it and no doubt this stress is wearing you thin and it's upsetting your wife.

There's nothing positive about this kind of exchange, only hate.  It's better to talk this over with a good friend and get some decent feedback, than fight with your enemy and get abused and maligned. I'm sure you agree.

Ok Randy....I hope I've read your last post. Pray to Saint Martin de Porres, the Patron of Social Justice.

Sister,

Thank you for your kind words. Hate is indeed a poison that affects us all. I'll also pray for inner-strength and compassion. I'll pray for Mr. Farmer too.

Can we discuss? I like to exchage a email if you wouldn't mind.

Innocent  I'm sorry Randy, but I am not in a position to exchange e-mails with you.  I said: "don't answer"....you're leaving yourself open for another tirade by your enemies.

Smile.....I know, Randy, it's hard.....but you're on the right track, keep it that way! you'll be happy you were able to control the impulse to retort, even when you may be the object of calumny We have a saying in Spanish: "Ver, oir y callar".

Thank you your Excellency.....we can all use that piece of wisdom. Maybe each and everyone of us has learnt something transcendental through this long exchange.
