The Government of Peru has subscribed two loans for $250 million US dollars with the World Bank and the Inter-American Bank to improve the public health system.
The amount of the contracts is divided into $125 million US dollars for each financial institution, which will be used for investment in the creation of Integrated Health Networks, according to Sputnik News.
“The Integrated Health Networks are an initiative of the Ministry of Health that seeks to connect medical centers throughout the territory for the primary care of people who do not have public or private insurance”, the aforementioned media explained.
The Minister of Health said that this project will benefit more than 20 million Peruvians and that its total cost will be of $317.5 million US dollars.
