Peru will become the South American online shopping leader for 2019, according to the projections of TiendaMIA.com, which expects to reach 40% of its annual turnover during this last quarter in which the Christmas, Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns are carried out.
“Very quickly, Peru quickly positioned itself as our third market. Now it is the second market next to Argentina, and in a few months it will surpass Uruguay,” said Gonzalo Peralta, Country Manager of TiendaMIA.com in Peru, who highlighted that the national market exceeded all expectations in just over ten months of having started their operations, according to Andina News Agency.
According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC) on the impact of electronic commerce and its evolution in Latin America, e-commerce has tripled its sales in the region over the last six years and registers $40 billion US dollars.
TiendaMIA.com is a North American app that allows access to original discounts and participation in emblematic e-commerce dates such as Black Friday, Amazon Prime, Cyber Monday, President Day and Labor Day.
Peralta also explained that they have analyzed the Peruvian customer and realized that they enjoy purchasing from their homes and offices and don’t like to worry about the shipping, which is something that TiendaMIA.com helps them with.
