According to Atrápalo, tourism in Peru has increased 36% this year, which demonstrates the importance of this sector to the country’s economy.
“The Peruvian is willing to travel more and it reflects in an increase in sales in its platform that goes up to 36%”, Perú 21 reported.
They also revealed that the average age of the buyers is between 25 and 44 years who seek a vacation in Peru.
“In addition, while it is true that 3-star hotels are still preferred by Peruvian travelers, there was an increase of 15% in the reservations of 4 and 5-star hotels”, Perú 21 explained.
They also said that the favorite destinations this year are Piura, Tarapoto, Iquitos, Talara and Paracas.
Also, another interesting fact that the study unveiled is that Peruvians increasingly chose to make short trips, for stays of 3 to 4 days, more frequently yo Cusco, Lima, Ica, Tumbes and Arequipa.
