Peru will promote its tourist attractions in India, in order to attract more visitors from that country, during the 26th edition of the South Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show (SATTE 2019).
“A group of six tour operators, member of Apotur, will participate jointly with the Commercial Office of Peru (OCEX) New Delhi, in this important meeting that will take place from January 16 to 18, 2019 in India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, in the city from New Delhi” according to information Andina News agency gathered from the Peruvian Association of Receptive Tourism Operators and Internal (Apotur).
The participating Peruvian companies will be Setours, Viajes Pacifico, Solmartour, Travel Group, Lima Tours and Coltur.
Apotur indicated that Peruvian tour operators will hold important meetings with their peers from India during the three days of the event, which will serve to increase the flow of tourists to Peru.
“Peru is seen as a touristically attractive country and is expected to increase the flow of visitors from India to Peru,” said the business association.
According to PromPerú, Hindu tourists have concentrated their visits during 2017 to Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador, with an average of Indian tourist spending between $860 to $1,000 US dollars in each trip.
As for the number of Hindu tourists in Peru this year, OCEX Peru said that during the first two months of 2018 it increased by 36.9%.
